Why is writing important

My career goal is to become a Mechanical engineer. Although it may seem like writing has nothing to do with my career, it has a very important role. A big part of my job will be to give specific directions on how to make certain things. These directions will be forward to engineers everywhere around the world. If i do not know how to write, my directions would look very foolish and I'm pretty sure that most engineers wouldn't understand my directions if i didn't know how to write. So without writing I would not be able to do my job correctly and if I can't do my job correctly I would be out of a job!!!!!!
